In this lingerie sewing course you will learn all the techniques to master lingerie making. You will make 4 different pieces, using different finishing elastics and trims.
After this course you will be able to create your unique lingerie wardrobe, on your style. Plus you will learn sewing techniques that you can apply to sewing other garments as well.
The course also includes a class on pattern manipulation for better fit and also to adapt a knickers pattern to the period knickers.
Course content
- Introduction to lingerie making: stitches, materials, stretch measurement and different finishes using trims and elatics.
- Panties sewing (3 models to choose).
- Pattern alterations: learn to make small changes on your patterns for better fit. Adapt a panties or knickers pattern into a period panty. Learn Bra sizings in Europe, Spain/France and US/UK.
- Period panty sewing
- Stretch mesh or cotton balette with optional lining.
- Sewing the Watson Bra (wireless)
What do you need for the course?
- Basic sewing machine knowledge. If you have never used one you can take an extra class of introduction to the sewing machine and basic stitches.Contact me about it.
- All materials are included, you will have a selection of different fabrics to match your style. Patterns are included on your size, except for the Watson Bra pattern that you need to purchase (13.5€ and includes the watson undies).
- There is a sewing machine available per student. But you can also bring your own.
- Please bring all your sewing tools (pins, scissors, cutter). If you don't have we have them in the studio.
